Jackie's Influence
League 42’s mission is inspired by the great Jackie Robinson, who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier in 1947. The Jackie Robinson Pavilion, part of our baseball complex at historic McAdams Park, honors Jackie and his impact on baseball and American society.
The best way we pay homage to Jackie is by asking our supporters – fans, parents, players, coaches, umpires, etc. – to observe the sportsmanship rules we have adopted. They are important and they are enforced and we appreciate everyone who understands why they exist.
FUN BEYOND THE BASEBALL FIELD
Baseball is definitely the calling card for League 42, as it has been from the beginning. But there are so many other things for our baseball players.
Four education initiatives (Bright Lights, Passion Project, Bats and Badges, Full Count) help pave the way for many opportunities to learn and have fun.
We offer a full season of baseball in the spring and early summer, but then our players can enhance their skills by attending various indoor and outdoor skills clinics throughout the year. We are thankful to so many for offering their baseball expertise to our players.
