How Can I support League 42™?
In-kind donations of goods and services, as well as donations of time and equipment, are vital to League 42’s success.
League 42 is a non-profit organization, so we rely on our volunteers and donors to make each baseball season happen. We are consistently in need of coaches and team ambassadors to oversee our teams. And we value the volunteer efforts of individuals who assist us with uniform distribution, special events, and other activities. If you would like to volunteer for League 42, contact league42wichita@gmail.com or (316) 655-1028.
It costs roughly $200,000 per year to operate our league. We hold events to help with that process, such as an annual golf tournament at Sand Creek Station in Newton and a yearly event at Chicken N Pickle in Wichita.
We are currently in the midst of a capital campaign to raise $3 million for a new 10,500 square-foot building adjacent to our facility at McAdams Park. The building, to be located at 1212 E. 17th, will house our offices, an indoor training facility/community center to be used for baseball training and other events, and, most importantly, a learning center. That center will be used for after-school tutoring designed to assist kids with reading and math skills. We will have 20 computer stations as we strive to help our players with their education needs.
Some of that money will be used for a fourth baseball field at McAdams, to help us ease the crowding that serving 600 kids per season can bring.

Equipment: We accept donations of equipment year-round. Our greatest need is youth baseball gloves, new or gently used, as well as other baseball equipment such as bats, helmets, catcher’s gear, etc. Any donations can be dropped off at McAdams Park Recreation Center or by calling 316-655-1028 and we’ll make arrangements to come to pick them up at your location.
Time: An organization like League 42 relies heavily on volunteers for its success. From coaches and assistants to parent team ambassadors to fundraising and planning committees, on and off the field events; we have a multitude of volunteer positions that will fit into your schedule.
Whether you have an hour or a year, $5 or $50,000, your passion for baseball can make a difference in a child’s life and the Wichita community. We would love to share more details with you. If your church, school, business, or civic organization would like a League 42™ representative to make a presentation to your group we would be thrilled to make that happen.
